NWSHBA Stallion Auction Information

--We have added some new marketing ideas
We hope you will consider
donating your stallion to the 7th Annual NWSHBA stallion
auction. Auction proceeds fund
educational programs and our annual NWSHBA year end breeders show while
giving great exposure to stallions standing here in the northwest.
Here is our tentative
schedule of how the auction will run and how stallions will be promoted.
Initial list
of stallions in January Flying Changes. Stallions received after Nov. 1st may not
make this list but will be updated onto the website by January 1st.
Auction opens as soon as the stallion is listed. We will have an Ainstant buy@ price listed. We are hoping this will encourage first time breeders to not be intimidated by the auction process and help the stallion owners be able to sell to a specific breeder if they choose to. The regular bidding of any stallions not purchased will begin January 1st for bidding. All participating stallions will be listed on the website at this time. No additional entries after January 1st. If everyone gets the information in before we may even be able to post the auction earlier.
The Booking fee is paid directly to the stallion owner

you donate during the month of August you
will be able to supply 125 ads
of your stallion and we will include them in this years show program. The
stallions will also be listed on the AInstant
Buy@ Display at the 2005 NSBA
Classic Horse Show on September 9-11,2005 in Spanaway,
Wa. Those stallions purchased through the AInstant
Buy@ program will still be
advertised in all of our 2006 marketing plans, but will be listed as sold with
the purchasers name. Bring or send a video of your
stallion and we will have a table set up with a VCR for viewing at the
horseshow and other Promotional events this year
Website listing for the stallion auction and
individual stallion pages will be located on www.nwshba.com. There will also be a link to each stallion=s
homepage and owner=s
email so potential bidders can contact/research as needed.
For January stallion issues we plan to run
special ad in Flying Changes, Northwest Horse Trader and Horses Incorporated
Auction will close March 1st and all bids
must be received no later than March 5th. Stallion owners and bidders will be notified
of auction results by March 15th.
Any remaining
stallions not bid on in the first round of bidding shall enter the second
chance auction that opens March 7th and closes April 25th
with bids received no later than May 1st. After May 1st stallion owners and
auction bidders will be notified of final results.
Final results will be run in June Flying
Changes with stallions and winning bidders listed.
NWSHBA has breated
the Breeders Bonus Program. It is open to weanlings bred the year the stallion
participated in the auction. For
stallions participating in 2006, all weanlings in 2007 sired by them would be
eligible to compete for the added bonus money at the NSBA September Classic.
We
look forward to promoting our Northwest Stallions and hope to have you
involved. Last year=s
auction promoted some of the finest stallion yet and we look forward to an even
greater success this year.
