Grandezine though his sire Grusus combines Grande and
Duellant lines with Wienerwald through his dam Wintergruen. His sisters
are in-hand champions-Elle by Esbjerg won the inaugural AHS national
hunter breeding division championship; D. Hassie Belle by Derringer
claimed the PNW Dressage Weanling Filly Championship. Currently
competing at third level, Grand is schooling fourth, He consistently
qualifies for championships in hand and under saddle, and in his
partnership with Christy has brought her within one score of her bronze
riding medal. Grand likes to jump, and in his one outing, Mark Carter
aboard, placed fifth out of 36 at the 2000 Mt Hood Classic.
Grand's
daughters are two grays and two chestnuts. In 2000 Guess What (Bobby
Shinesxx) was Reserve Champion hunter type at Langley . On 2001 her full
sister Guess Again placed 2nd at LOHDS and topped her ASW inspection
with an 80.6. In 2002 Gwenever (My Gay Ladyxx) won, with 75.3 from Uwe
Schmitz Reservce Champion Filly at FVDS. Graciosa is the first offspring
shown under saddles and qualified for ODS Championsips in just three
shows at both training and first levels.
