NWSHBA WEANLING BONUS PROGRAM
Weanlings born in 2008 sired by the following stallions are eligible for participation in the Weanling Bonus program at the 2008 Breeders Classic Horseshow: Weanlings born in 2007 sired by the following stallions are eligible for participation in the Weanling Bonus program at the 2007 Breeders Classic Horseshow Weanlings born in 2006 sired by the following stallions are eligible for participation in the Weanling Bonus program at the 2006 Breeders Classic Horseshow 1. Auction stallions shall have ALL FOALS conceived during the year of their auction participation eligible for the weanling bonus the year those foals are born (i.e. Auction participation from 2007 would have foals born in 2008, all foals by auction participating stallion conceived during the year 2007 would be able to compete for bonus as weanlings of 2008). 2. The bonus program shall set aside 10% of the gross proceeds of the annual stallion service auction to be awarded to the following year’s group of weanlings (i.e. 10% of the 2007 stallion auction proceeds shall be awarded as the 2008 bonus). 3. The bonus class shall be held in conjunction with the NWSHBA Futurity Class. Awards will be determined by assigning points to the placing from each judge and then averaged to ensure equal weight from both judges. Ties will be broken by highest numerical score. 4. The Weanling Bonus shall be awarded to the owner of the high scoring and reserve high scoring ELIGIBLE colts and fillies in the weanling futurity division(s). Prize money to be split 30% to the high scoring colt and 20% to the reserve high score colt for the and 30% to the high scoring filly and 20% reserve high scoring filly. These prizes shall be independent of the Futurity awards but will be pinned just following the Futurity Class using the Futurity scores.
